SWACDA Honor Choir Scholarship Program

Dear Choir Directors,

We are excited to introduce the SWACDA Graded Honor Choir Scholarship program, designed to support gifted singers facing financial challenges. If you have students auditioning for a 2024 SWACDA Graded or High School A Cappella Honor Choir who could benefit from financial assistance, we encourage them to apply before they submit their audition information. This scholarship offers a chance for personal and musical growth, along with the opportunity to connect with peers to singers who face financial barriers.

We have a limited number of $500 scholarships available. We know that this will only make a dent in the overall cost of participating in an honor choir, but we believe that it can serve as a powerful motivator. It can inspire them to prepare diligently for their audition and even use the fact that they have received this scholarship as a stepping stone to seek other forms of financial support.

Scholarship notifications will be sent to the applicants no later than September 27. Recipients will then have one week to submit their audition information (before the October 4th deadline). Please note that if a student does not make it into the choir, they will not receive the scholarship funds. Support for this program depends on donations received before September 25. If you are as passionate about this cause as we are and would like to contribute, please donate here:

Please share this program with anyone who shares our vision of supporting young, deserving singers in our region. Together, we can ensure that financial barriers do not deter these bright talents from achieving their musical dreams.

Thank you for your commitment to our musical community. Let’s ensure these deserving singers shine at the 2024 SWACDA Conference.

Warm regards,

Margie Camp
